This month, Karen Margulies will be facilitating Lisa See's coming-of-age novel, The Island of Sea Women. In this matrifocal society, the women, female divers, are the breadwinners. While historical, the writer focuses more on female friendship, the relationships among them as they cope with the Japanese occupation during World War II. All are welcome.
