Shabbat

Worship experiences at Woodlands are predominantly upbeat and
celebratory. We view worship as a microcosm for the outside world and,
as such, endeavor to include as much of the full gamut of human
experience — from joyous to sad, philosophical to emotional — as we

Kabbalat Shabbat at 7:00 pm

Here at Woodlands, we purposefully use “kabbalat” to describe one of our many signature worship experiences. Kabbalat Shabbat is for our entire community – from older members through grade-school-aged kids. It’s a regular Friday night service, but an hour earlier to accommodate older folks who don't like to drive late at night and our younger members' bedtimes. Shabbat b'Yachad at 5:30pm

Shabbat b'Yachad is proof that no one’s too young—or too old—to be an active participant in life at Woodlands. One Friday a month, during most months, the 30-minute service is geared youngsters age 0-7 with a caregiver. It’s a wonderful way for them to share a delightful experience with their parents and grandparents. (Of course, other relatives and friends are welcome to tag along.)
